Austria Tourist Visa

This is a basic visa document checklist based on the assigned embassy/visa office. You can add other supporting papers dependent on your nature and purpose of travel/visa category to ensure you’re getting a visa. Original passport having a validity of at least six months beyond the anticipated travel date and at least 2 different blank pages for visa processing.

1. a) A copy of any previous passports or visas that have been issued.
2. b) Include all of your previous passports (if any).
3. c) If a visa request is denied, the information of the original letter sent by the country’s authorities are preferable.

Austria Visa Application Form: The applicant must complete and sign the visa application form.

Two recent passport-size images with a matt or semi-matt surface, 60-80% facial coverage, white backdrop, and no border are required (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

Please note that the photograph must be less than 3 months old, scanned/stapled, and not have been used in any previous visas.

3)Covering-Letter: A covering letter from the application, including the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, and purpose, as well as who will be liable for the entire cost of the trip, including travel, lodging, and expenses. Addressed to: The Visa Officer, Austrian Embassy in Dhaka.

4) Letter of Invitation: (If Any)

5) Forwarding-Letter:

1. a) On the applicant’s company letterhead, a forwarding letter / NOC from the applicant’s company authority specifying the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of visit.
2. b) A letter from the educational institution requesting a visa or a student card/proof of school enrollment (if student)

6)If the applicant is a first-time traveler or a proprietor, proof of occupation: a) Company registration certificate (original notarized English translation and photocopy of the original).

1. b) Copies of the office ID card and visitor cards

7) Financials: a) Personal Bank Statement for the previous six months, clearly stating the bank’s name and telephone number.

1. b) Pay stub for the previous six months. (If applicable)

8) Ticket Itinerary & Hotel Booking: Airline & Hotel Reservations

9) Travel Insurance: Travel insurance must cover the entire Schengen area. Up to 30,000 Euros in medical expenditures, hospitalization, and repatriation charges must be covered by the insurer. The insurance must covering the full duration of your stay in the Schengen area.

10) Documents pertaining to the applicant’s civil status:

Marriage certificate (e.g. “Nika Namah” for Muslims or marriage act for Hindus, both translated into English) for married applicants

11) Itinerary for the Stay: A thorough itinerary for the duration of the visit.
