Ethiopia Business Visa Requirements

1) Passport: A copy of the bio page of a passport with a validity of at least six months is required.

  1. Be sure to include all of your prior passport copies, as well as the visa documents (Scanned)

2)Visa Application Form: You must complete out the visa application form online.

3) Picture: a recent passport-size photograph

  1. Matte or semi-matte finish
  2. Photographs must have a white backdrop and no border.
  3. 60-80% covering on the face (Size: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm)

4) Covering-Letter: A letter from the applicant detailing his or her name, designation, passport number, purpose, and who will be liable for the whole cost of the trip, including travel, lodging, and expenses. The letter should be sent to Ethiopia’s Director General of Immigration. The visa category must be included in the subject line of the email (Recommended)

5) Invitation Letter: An invitation letter from an Ethiopian host / inviting company, addressed to – The Director General of Immigration, Ethiopia, on its letterhead, stating the purpose of travel, conference/meeting name, start date, end date, venue, and duration of stay, and duly signed with the signatory’s name and designation.

6) Financial results: Copies of financial statements (salary)/personal bank statement for the last 6 months, clearly stating the bank’s name, telephone number, and approved bank seal and signature (e-statement is not acceptable) (Recommended)

8) Ticket: Itinerary for your ticket based on your trip dates (Recommended)

9) Hotel Reservation: Make a hotel reservation for the duration of your trip (Recommended)

Important information: Documents must be less than or equal to 2MB in size and be of the file types JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, or PDF. A photo and a copy of your passport cannot be in PDF format.

Ethiopia grants electronic visas, often known as e-visas, for a variety of visa categories for Bangladeshi nationals planning a short-term stay. Ethiopian e-visas are issued by the central Immigration authority as a conditional authorisation for a foreigner to enter, stay in, or depart the country before the validity of the authorization expires.

The Ethiopia e-visa allows an applicant to apply online with scanned copies of a limited number of papers, have the visa processed quickly, and get the visa in the form of a PDF/Doc file through email. Although an Ethiopian e-visa is a legitimate visa authorization, it does not ensure entry into Ethiopia. The immigration authority retains the final decision on whether or not to grant entrance authorization.
