Mauritius Business Visa Requirements


  1. Completed and signed Visa Application Form by the applicant. To obtain a copy of the form, click here.
  2. Two passport-size pictures taken recently,
  3. Two copies of the visitor’s card
  4. A clear color photocopy of the data pages of the passport(s) and copies of the visa (original not required),
  5. A letter of invitation
  6. A letter from the applicant’s company stating the reason for the visit (in letter head pad)
  7. Proof of funds (statements from bank/ credit or debit card copy) from the cost bearer (business or individual / sponsor).
  8. Confirmed Flight Information / Itinerary for Air Ticket,
  9. Confirm your hotel reservation (or letter of sponsorship). The hotel reservation must be written on the hotel’s letter pad with an authorized signature and seal. Any hotel reservations made through a third-party website like (booking.com; agoda.com) will be rejected.
  10. 2 copies of the applicant’s signed Original Authorization Letters for Passport Submission and Collection. Please use this format for your Authorization Letter (leave the name of the Authorization Person blank).

Special note:

Please note that after receiving approval from the appropriate authorities in Mauritius, the Embassy will provide a ‘OK to board’ letter to the applicant. This letter is sufficient to clear immigration at Dhaka Airport and board a flight. Based on this letter, the immigration authority will issue a visa on arrival at the Mauritius port of entry.


Notes on the subject:

Please keep that in mind the Applicant must also have the following at the time of travel:


  1. A valid passport or other accepted travel documents for the duration of their stay in Mauritius;
  2. A valid return ticket to their place of origin or residency;
  3. Have adequate finances to cover the expense of your stay (at least US $ 50-100 each night in Mauritius unless you are sponsored);


  1. Have a confirmed reservation for a hotel in Mauritius. The hotel reservation must be written on the hotel’s letterpad with an authorized signature and seal. Any hotel reservations made through a third-party website (booking.com; agoda.com) will be rejected.


  1. If a Mauritian citizen is sponsoring you (and the expense is covered by the inviter), you must provide a Letter of Sponsorship stating:
  • Name and address; 
  • Phone number; 
  • Sponsor’s profession; 
  • Relationship with the applicant; 
  • National Identity Card; 
  • A copy of a utility bill


  1. If a corporation invites you, the invitation letter should be written on letterhead.
