The National Chiao Tung University is a state funded college which was set up in the year 1896 and is situated in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The school’s unique name was Nanyang College. In 1912, it was renamed the Shanghai Professional College of Higher Education. Later on, in 1937, it was at last renamed as the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU).
