Bolivia Tourist Visa Requirements

In order to obtain on arrival visa , you must: (90 Days)

Completed Bolivia visa application form with all required declarations

a single copy Photographs in passport size

One copy of a valid national passport

one copy of your most recent financial institution statement

One copy of your travel insurance confirmation letter stating coverage for Bolivia.

a letter of recommendation from your work or educational institution

One copy of proof of group travel/accommodation booking reservation in Bolivia/flight ticket reservation in Bolivia and one copy of proof of group travel/accommodation booking reservation in Bolivia

Requirements for obtaining a visa:

 

One passport-sized picture copy

Proof of a return or forward ticket is required.

A copy of a bank statement or a credit card statement is required.

Covering-Letter: Covering On firm letterhead, a letter from the applicant detailing his name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of travel.

Invitation Letter: An invitation letter from the Bolivian host / inviting company, on its letterhead, explaining the purpose of trip and length of stay, should be provided directly to the Embassy from the Bolivian Immigration Department, with a copy forwarded to us.

Financials: a) Proof of Occupation (short company profile, wage slip, etc.) b) Last six months’ bank statement

  2. d) Foreign Exchange Approval/Copy of Credit Card

Important facts to remember:

 

Everyone above the age of 12 months must have a yellow fever vaccination card or immunization certificate to enter Bolivia, according to Bi-ministerial Resolution 01/2007. Ministerial Resolution 0028, however, was approved on January 21, 2009, requiring the yellow fever vaccination only for foreigners traveling to zones at risk of yellow fever (a list of those zones is available), and they must receive the vaccine at least 10 days before entering Bolivia.
