- Tourist Visa Requirement
Documents necessary for a visa in the 12-X category:
When presenting papers, personal appearance is required.
1) The visa application form must be filled out and signed.
2) A letter to the Consul Section detailing the reason for the request.
3) A current passport for at least six months is asked to enter the nation and to explain their presence.
4) The applicant for a visa to stay in the country must establish financial soundness by bank statements, bank guarantees, or credit card statements. For each month of permanency, the funds must be equal to a livable salary.

6) The applicant must present an invitation letter, a financial guarantee, and an SRI certificate from the person who invited them, all of which must be in original and notarized in Ecuador in the applicant’s favor.

At the time of the procedure, more papers may be requested.
THE VISA IS VALID FOR A PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS.
