Malawi Business Visa

1. Passport: 

A copy of the main page of a passport with a validity of at least six months is required.

• Be sure to include all of your prior passport copies, as well as the visa copies.

2. Visa Application Form: 

You must complete out the visa application form online.

3. Image: 

• recent passport-sized photograph
• Matte or semi-matte finish
• Photographs must have a white backdrop and no border.
• 60-80% covering on the face (Size: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm).

4. Covering letter:

We are covering letter including Name, designation, passport number, purpose, and a statement describing who will pay the entire cost of the trip – travel, lodging, expenses, and so on. The letter should be sent to Malawi’s Director General of Immigration. In the subject line, the visa category must be specified.

5. Invitation Letter: 

A letter from the Malawi host / inviting company addressed to – The Director-General of Immigration, Malawi, on its letterhead, explaining the purpose of trip and period of stay, and officially signed with the signatory’s name and designation.

• The Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration of the Host in Malawi.

6. Occupation Proof:

•  Letter-of-Forwarding: A letter from the office, such as a NOC/LOI letter on the organization’s letterhead pad, indicating the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, duration of travel, sponsorship status, and other pertinent information. Addressed to: Malawi’s Director General of Immigration.

•  Certified photocopies of trade license/incorporation certificate/memorandum (if self-employed/businessman)

7. Financials:

•  A copy of a bank statement (salary)/personal bank statement for the previous six months that clearly states the bank’s name, telephone number, and permitted bank seal and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)
•  A copy of the company’s bank statement for the previous six months, clearly stating the bank’s name and telephone number. (If the travel is paid for by the company)

8. Ticket Itinerary: 

Itinerary for round-trip tickets based on your travel dates (Recommended)

9. Hotel Reservation: 

Make a reservation for a hotel room for the duration of your vacation.

Important note: All soft copies of papers should be submitted in PDF or JPG image format.
