Mexico Tourist Visa

1. Completed application form
2. A passport that is valid for at least six months is required.
3. A recent passport-sized photo (4.5 CM X 3.5 CM) with a white background, no glasses, and no brow.
4. A covering letter from your organization, signed by the appropriate authority.
5. Personal Bank Statement Copy (last 6 months).
6. ITR (Income Tax Return) or Form 16 (Personal Income Tax Return) copy (last 3 years).
7. Itinerary for the flight.
8. Visa application fee

Note: 

1. The applicant’s personal presence is required for the biometric process and interview.
2. If the applicants meet all of the visa requirements, the visa processing duration is two working days.
3. Holders of diplomatic, official, or service passports, as well as laissez passers, who wish to enter Mexico on official missions or private visits, should contact the Consular Section’s personnel.
4. Clergy and religious ministers should contact the Consular Section’s personnel.
5. The Immigration Officer has the last say on whether or not you can enter Mexico.

IMPORTANT:

 Your documents cannot be delivered by courier or a third party. You will be able to travel to Mexico if you are granted a Mexican visa. It does not imply that you will be admitted to the nation.

Mexican immigration officials may interrogate you at the point of entry to validate your reasons for traveling, the length of your stay in Mexico, and how you plan to fund your trip. The following are a few samples of questions you might be asked:

1. What method will you use to leave the country?
2. What program are you enrolled in if you are on a student visa? What is the name of the host institution?
3. Who or what company is recruiting you if you are on a work visa? What types of activities will you be involved in at the company?
4. How long do you intend to stay in Mexico?
5. How are you going to pay for your expenses?
6. Are there any people you know in the country?
7. Where are you going to stay?
8. What is the purpose of your trip to Mexico? What activities do you plan to partake in?

Mexican immigration authorities, like those in other countries, will check the legitimacy of all of your documents and the accuracy of the information you supply. They will also certify that there are no restrictions in place. The purpose of your trip must correspond to the type of visa you are applying for. Everyone who comes to Mexico or lives there has rights that must be respected. Foreigners have the option of contacting their respective embassy or consulate.
