Myanmar Business Visa Requirements

  1. Passport: 

An original passport that has at least six months validity beyond your intended departure date and minimum 2 blank pages for visa stamping is required.

  • A copy of any previous passports or visas that have been issued.
  • Include all of your previous passports (if any).
  • If a visa request is denied, the information of the original letter sent by the country’s authorities is preferable.
  1. A copy of the NID
  2. Myanmar Visa Application Form: 

The applicant must complete and sign the visa application form.

  1. Photo requirements: 

Two current passport-size photos with a matt or semi-matt surface, a white background, and no border (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

 

Please note that the photograph must be less than 3 months old, scanned/stapled, and not have been used in any previous visas.

 
  1. Letter of invitation: 

This is required for a business visa. As well as a proof of Myanmar firm registration.

  1. Forwarding-Letter: 
  • On the applicant’s company letterhead, a forwarding letter / NOC from the applicant’s company authority specifying the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of visit.
 
  • A letter from the educational institution requesting a visa or a student card/proof of school enrollment (if student)
 
  1. Proof of Occupation: 
  • If the applicant is a first-time traveler or a proprietor, a company registration certificate (original notarized English translation and original photocopy).
 
  • Copies of the office ID card and visitor cards
  1. Financials: 
  • Company or personal bank statement for the previous six months, clearly stating the bank’s name and phone number.
  • Payslip for the previous six months. (If applicable)
 
  1. Airline and Hotel Reservations:

On March 26, 1951, Myanmar established a counseling office in Dhaka. Since Bangladesh’s independence from East Pakistan on December 16, 1971, Myanmar and Bangladesh have had close and cordial relations since Bangladesh’s formation in 1972. Myanmar granted Bangladesh recognition on January 13, 1972. One of the first countries to acknowledge Bangladesh was Myanmar. On March 21, 1972, the two countries established diplomatic ties at the embassy level.
