Uganda Tourist Visa Requirements

1. Travel document:

Copy of the bio page and cover page of a passport with a validity period of at least six months.

Include all previous passport copies, as well as visa copies.

 

2. Form of Visa Application:

The visa application form must be completed online.

  1. Two recent passport-size photographs, with matt or semi-matt.

3.60-80% faces white background, and without frame (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

Note: recent photos should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled, and not be used in any previous visas.

4. Covering-Letter:

 

Cover Letter from applicant including Name, Passport Number, DesignationPurpose, and outlining who will be liable for the entire cost of the trip – travel, lodging, expenses, and so on. The letter should be addressed to – Uganda’s Director General of Immigration. The subject line must include the Visa Category.

5. Trip Specifics:

 

Copy of a day-by-day trip itinerary or tour voucher from a licensed tour operator.

7. Letter of Recommendation:

A letter from the office, such as a NOC/LOI letter on the organization’s letterhead pad, stating the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, the purpose of visit, duration of visit, sponsorship status, and so on. Addressed to: Uganda’s Director General of Immigration.

Certified photocopies of trade licenses/certificates of incorporation/memorandums (if self-employed/businessman)

Copy of an official ID card/Visiting card

8. Finances:

Copy of bank statement (salary)/personal bank statement for the last six months mentioning the bank’s name, telephone number, and authorized bank seal and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)

9. Ticket:

 

Based on your travel dates, create an itinerary for your tickets.

10.Reservation of a Hotel:

Hotel reservations are based on your travel dates.

11.Medical: 

A Yellow Fever Certificate is required.

 

Important information: Before traveling to Uganda, all visitors must have a Yellow Fever Vaccination. We recommend that all documents be submitted in soft copy.

Uganda issues Electronic Visas, also known as e-visas, for various visa categories for Bangladeshi nationals traveling for a short-term visit. Uganda e-visa is a conditional authorization granted by the central Immigration authority to a foreigner to enter, remain within, or leave the territory before the authorization’s validity expires.

The Uganda e-visa allows applicants to apply online with scanned copies of their documents. only a few documents, have the visa processed quickly and receive the visa online in the form of a PDF/Doc file via email. Although the Uganda e-visa is a valid visa permit, it does not guarantee the right to enter Ugandan territory. The immigration authority retains the absolute control to grant entry permission.
