United States Tourist Visa Requirements

Passport:

An original passport with minimum 6 months validity beyond the anticipated travel date and at least two blank pages for visa stamping is required.

A copy of any previous passports or visas that have been issued.
Include all of your previous passports (if any).
If a visa request is denied, the information of the original letter sent by the country’s authorities is preferred.
Visa Application Form for the United State of America:

The applicant must complete and sign the visa application form.

Photo requirements:

Two recent passport-sized photos with a matt or semi-matt quality, 60-80% facial coverage, white backdrop, and no border (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

Please note: The photograph must be less than 3 months old, scanned/stapled, and not have been used in any previous visas.

Covering-Letter:

An applicant’s name, passport number, designation, and purpose for the travel were all contained in the cover letter form. Also indicated is who will be responsible for all expenditures, including travel, lodging, and other expenses, addressed to – “– The Visa Officer, Embassy of United States, Dhaka. The visa category must be specified in the subject line of the email.

Letter of Invitation:

Forwarding-Letter:
On the applicant’s company letterhead, a forwarding letter / NOC from the applicant’s company authority specifying the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of visit.

A letter from the educational institution requesting a visa or a student card/proof of school enrolment (if student)

Proof of Occupation:
If the applicant is a first-time traveler or a proprietor, a company registration certificate (original notarized English translation and original photocopy).

Copies of the office ID card and visitor cards.

Financials:
Company or personal bank statement for the previous six months, clearly stating the bank’s name and phone number.

Payslip for the previous six months. (If applicable)

Requirements for qualification

A passport that is valid for minimum six months beyond your expected stay in the United States. Even if they are traveling with their family, children must have their own visa. Applicants for visitor visas must demonstrate that they meet the requirements set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act. Applicants must show that they are legally classified as tourists in the United States.

Every visitor visa application is presumed to be an intended immigrant, according to the legislation. As a result, tourist visa applicants must overcome this presumption by demonstrating:

That they are traveling to the United States for business, pleasure, or medical treatment;

That they intend to stay for a set amount of time;

Evidence of sufficient funds in the United States to cover expenses;

Evidence of strong international social and economic links; and

That they have a place of residency outside of the United States, as well as other links that will assure their return after the visit.

The visiting visa is a non-immigrant visa for people who want to visit the United States for a limited time for business (B-1) or leisure, tourism, or medical care (B-2)

Applicants for visitor visas must demonstrate that they meet the requirements set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act. Applicants must show that they are legally classified as tourists in the United States.
